Generally, this disease starts with a small white spot, but later these spots gradually start spreading to a particular part of the body or the whole body. In the case of this disease, a person becomes a victim of severe mental stress or confusion and even depression because it affects beauty a lot.

Vitiligo can affect any part of the body. Still, it most commonly affects parts of the body that are exposed to direct sunlight, such as the hands, feet, elbows, face, lips, and neck. Cystitis can affect people of any age and men and women. But the disease mostly affects people in their twenties and thirties, and a general estimate is that around one to two percent of people worldwide is affected by it. This disease is generally divided into three types.

Vitiligo types

1. Focal Vitiligo

In the case of this type of Vitiligo, spots appear in a specific part of the body. Focal Vitiligo can cause white spots up to five centimeters across the skin. These spots don’t need to be completely white, and they can be whitish. In the case of this type of Vitiligo, attempts are made to restore the skin to its original color

Causes for Vitiligo

Nothing can be definitively said about the causes of this disease and why it occurs. It is not included in the list of hereditary diseases because no one in the family of patients suffering from this disease, especially the parents, has the disease. However, if a parent or someone else in the family has the disease, it is possible that the risk of vitiligo increases.

According to some experts, the leading cause of the disease is a malfunction of the immune system, which causes the body to destroy its helpful cells. It begins to beat. However, eczema, skin burns, stomach ulcers, and skin rashes (psoriasis) can also increase the risk of this disease.
